‘Do what is right’, Duterte tells new Justice Sec. Guevarra

Newly appointed Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra received one instruction from President Rodrigo Duterte after he was sworn into office late Thursday, April 6,: “Do what is right.”

Guevarra was previously senior deputy executive secretary before he replaced former Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, who resigned this week amid criticism of Department of Justice’s dismissal of charges against drug suspects Kerwin Espinosa and Peter Lim.
